First day in LA I spent the morning at Bottega Louie (of course!) and then headed to American Vintage with Diego. Always wanted to visit the store and finally got the chance to! It was way bigger than I thought and pretty cool. Highly recommend it if you guys come to LA.
I kept it pretty casual in an all black attire but with a pop of brown from my boots. I've never worn these babies before and surprised at how comfortable they were as I lasted all day in them and walked around a lot. Also picked up these denim culottes from the Toyshop sale for £15!?! I know right! They fit so well and I'm so obsessed with them!
Keep up with what I'm up to here in LA over on my snapchat if you haven't added me already! I'm over at 'idressmyselff' :D

I've teamed up with Urban Outfitters again to bring you guys a minimal and chic summer look! I haven't worn a dress in a while and it was time to come to terms with it. Even though our weather is up and down - when the sun hits, it gets so humid. This lightweight sundress from Mink Pink was the one! I love that it has no waste band or anything restricting as I DO eat a lot. So this dress is great for hiding the food baby! I've also paired it with some white Adidas trainers (of course!) my Celine trio and these sick shell sunnies. I wore this out to go do some grocery shopping and felt so comfy all day! Really hope the sun makes an appearance a bit more so I can style this dress with other accessories and shoes!

How to dress like you have your shit together... (When you don't)
FOR ONE OF THOSE DAYS...
IMAGES BY OLIVER TAYLOR
When you wake up super early and not had much sleep and have to be somewhere important - your brain goes to mush when choosing the right outfit.
Here is my quick go-to trick when you have to dress like you have your shit together...(Even when you don't)
AllSaints tee
Vintage flannel Similar here
Saint Laurent bag
Ray Ban sunnies
ASOS heels
Topshop jeans
AllSaints belt
First always have on hand a basic white tee and your fave pair of jeans. From this, you can layer pieces on that will camouflage a plain old outfit. Also if you have a preferred colour that will perk you right up, I suggest you go for that. Mine is red, it instantly gives me and my outfit a lift. I decided to throw on a flannel shirt. This oversized one is super cosy and still makes me feel like I'm in my pjs and is one of those 'lazy dressing' tricks. Of course, you can opt for a safari jacket, leather jacket or even a denim one. Whatever tickles your pickle. Next the footwear, I went for a comfy heel. I had a few meetings I had to go to and didn't have to walk from A to B for miles. A slight heel really makes you look like you're on your shit and ready to take on the day. These ones have an elastic fitting and are super comfy cause the heels are a block and doesn't have me stumbling everywhere. They also match the shirt - so that's a bonus!
Last steps to completing this look is the eyewear. I normally opt for an oversized framed but since I wasn't hungover I just opted for these classic ray bans. Frames my face really well and the perfect accessory to hide any award eye contact when your people stalking on your way to a meeting. So a recap of the tips...
1. Put together your base - normally a plain tee and your fave paid of jeans are a great go to
2. Layer on your jacket or overskirt with matching shoes. Shows that you've made an effort - when really you don't know what day you're on.
3. Accessorise with some oversized frames and even an oversized bag if you need to! Stuff it full of breakfast and proteins bars so you're not hungry on the commute!
Hope you enjoyed this post! You could also apply these tips to dressing for uni as well!
Rust in chic
When you know your outfit can do with a little more oomph... You go ahead and add a statement jacket. I mean - yes this one is still on the minimal side but I think the colour is just to die for! I'm so in love with this rustic orange tone and the fact that it goes with a lot of my basic white, grey and black outfits is a bonus! I've just thrown this on over a casual flared sleeve blouse, super comfy textured joggers and my classic white trainers. The ultimate sports luxe vibe and is super comfy for a day of meetings in London! This is also perfect for university too by the way and the big tote is great to carry all your books and laptop.

I really feel like this year, I've grown up in a lot of ways and that's had an effect on my style for sure.

I really feel like this year, I've grown up in a lot of ways and that's had an effect on my style for sure. I thought I knew what my style was but I guess you are always in for a surprise. I've been loving more feminine tones, cuts and shapes lately. Something I had to adjust to for sure but really workable into my everyday wardrobe now. Been wearing a lot more colour and lighter tones lately too. Like this white flared sleeve blouse. It fits so well and is really flattering on a lady like me with a small chest. I'd love to find more of these blouses in different colours. Also these heels - such a beautiful and comfortable pop of colour to add to an outfit like this. Note to self... also need to get more in different colours. This is such a great outfit for a busy day in London. From meetings to brunches and even all the way into the evening with the girls for a drink!
Beige tones
H&M trench coat
Vintage levis
Finders Keepers cami
Public Desire heels
Celine bag
Fendi sunglasses
KMM necklace
Been really loving neutral tones lately when the suns out. I love pairing my H&M trench with a pair of vintage jeans, block heels and a printed cami. This really is my go to summer uniform. Something that you can throw on to go to a lunch, date or shopping! These heels are so classic and comfortable! Another bonus is they are under £30 and comes in black too!

Been wearing a lot of my go-to all black outfits lately again - even when the sun is out! This one is totally one of my favourites. This blouse is stunning and makes me feel like a chic pirate. Does that even make sense?! I'm so in love with the lace up front and the frilly sleeves. It fits my body so well and is perfect for hiding a food baby! These jeans also fit incredibly well. They are from AllSaints and it's the first pair I've gotten from them. Definitely going to check them out more as it just hugs my body in the right places and is super comfortable.
This outfit also gave me a chance to wear my suede boots from Public Desire too. They are super comfortable and I love to add a little bit of detail into this outfit. You can't see it from here but the heels is an awesome black and white marble effect. Just giving it a bit of a lift and an interesting feature! Let me know your thoughts on this outfit below! I finally got my hands on this beautiful satin bomber from Topshop and couldn't be any more happier. Great for your closet space and wallet to as it's reversible! So 2 jacket for the price of 1! On the other side is a royal blue version and I just fell in love! I opted for a size 12 for those of you who are wondering - I want it to be an oversized fit so I can wear sweater underneath when the winter hits.
Just paired it with my fave jeans, classic adidas superstars and my beautiful Fendi sunnies!
