Suede dreams
I took this dress to LA with me a couple of weeks ago and it fits in so well. Really is such an 'LA' dress! I love how it's suede and how bright but not too over powering the colour is. This burnt orange piece really fitted my curves well and with the oversized bow pinching everything in - creates such a beautiful silhouette. This number is from Ashanti Brazil and they also have it in a berry colour too! It's part of the new LUX collection they have. Stunning signature pieces using high quality fabrics!

OUTFIT 1
So with this outfit, I opted for something really comfortable. For this outfit, the focus piece is the turtle neck. I'm in love with them and own a few so thought it would be a great focus piece to transition from day to night! I decided to pair the day outfit with some dungarees, these are really soft so it made my day really easy going and comfortable. This dark denim paired with a cream turtleneck breaks up the colour palette perfectly! I just finished it off with an oversized tote bag which literally fits everything in! a cosy black and white scarf and a sterling lined pair or converses! Perfect for the colder weather!

OUTFIT 2
For this transition, I had a dinner to attend to so whipped off the dungarees and changed into a corduroy pinafore dress! It works perfectly with the cream turtle neck whilst keeping me cosy! I put on some tights too and added these chunky platforms for some extra height and to dress up the outfit a bit. I wasn't going to be up and about a lot so I didn't mind a pair of heels that were quite tall! Plus they were velvet platforms! Who could say no? To finish off this look I just added a basic black clutch to carry my bits and bobs in. Downsized from the tote from outfit 1!

I've been obsessed with comfy lounge wear at the moment and couldn't help myself when I found these knitted joggers! Best part - they were only £5 from Primark! I really need to go and get more and hopefully they do a pair in black also! I've just paired it with this army green v neck tee from Missguided which I love ( I also bought it in black too!). They fit perfectly and theres even enough fabric to tie it into a knot. This is another great outfit to wear travelling on a long haul flight too with sneakers! I actually wore this outfit to Waitrose as well!

When it's gloomy outside I always tend to wear all grey. You guys know I love mixing different shades and textures! I wanted to keep the outfit pretty casual but chic at the same time so opted for my girlfriend jeans, white sneakers, grey over coat and this textured grey top from House of Sunny!
Mad Hatters Afternoon tea!

So when I got an email from Sanderson London asking if I wanted to pop down to try the mad hatters afternoon tea I jumped at the chance! I've only had afternoon tea twice before and was eager to try thisAlice in wonderland themed one! I bought my mum along as she has a week off work and it was such a nice treat for us both to catch up and have some girl time.
We started off with some tea smelling! There were five specialised teas that were created for this afternoon tea and I went with the 'white rabbit' which has hints of the silver needle tea. It was no joke the best tea I've ever tasted. I'm a the girl and I've sampled pretty much every silver needle teas London has to offer and this one had no competition. My mum opted for the 'Alice', a blend of china black tea with mixed berries which smelled incredible! These teas are only available at the Sanderson so definitely head down and try for your self!
Our first course was some savoury goodness - in the form of mini finger sandwiches, scotch egg and a crab and herb eclair. My favourite from that is the cucumber sandwiches - they actually have cucumber in and was a unique take on the traditional ones you normally have. The flavours worked so well together with the soft cheese and you would be surprised how filling the savoury plate is! Next course was the tower of sweet treats. Filled with macaroons, red velvet cakes, scones, mushroom marshmallows and chocolate treats! We found ourselves tucking in straight away and was so impressed with how delicious everything tasted! There was even Alice's 'drink me' bottles filled with coconut milk, passionfruit and mango purée! Think those were mine and Mum's favourite dessert! We could drink those all day! This afternoon tea was really magical, I have never come across anything like this before and highly recommend this especially if you want to treat your mum or a loved one to something special! My mum was so happy with the afternoon tea that I think I'm going to have to take her back and bring my little sister along! Who ever said you can't pair navy and black has no idea what they are talking about. I think people are still skeptical about pairing the colours together but I personally love it. Especially when you have a super comfy knitted two piece and such a bold shape coat - why not pair it together?
